Anderson Ellis is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Colorado School of Mines. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering (2023), an M.S. in Hydrologic Science & Engineering, and a B.A. in Political Science from Yale University (2015).
His research focuses on Environmental and Water Engineering, particularly subsurface contaminant remediation. As a member of the Strathmann Group, he investigates treatment methods for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) through ion exchange processes using ionic and non-ionic resins. He also leads Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) initiatives to evaluate the sustainability of PFAS treatment options.

Anderson maintains active engagement with outdoor activities including fly fishing, cycling, and soccer.
