Anca Turcu

Anca Turcu is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Central Florida (UCF), affiliated with the School of Politics, Security, and International Affairs. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Texas at Dallas. Her research focuses on diaspora political behavior, populism, transnational repression, migration studies, and AI governance. Turcu has published extensively in top journals such as Political Geography, Party Politics, and Comparative Political Studies, and her work explores themes like diaspora voting patterns, transnational policy dynamics, and electoral strategies of ruling parties.

Dr. Turcu has been recognized for her teaching excellence with the UCF Teaching Incentive Program Award. She is a prolific scholar with co-authored studies on topics such as diaspora enfranchisement policies and ecological group affinities.
