Anastasios Zoupidis

Anastasios Zoupidis is an Assistant Professor at the School of Education, Democritus University of Thrace, where he was elected in October 2019. Previously, he served as Teaching Staff at the University of Western Macedonia's School of Education since 2017. He holds a graduate degree in Physics (1992), a postgraduate degree in ICT in Education (2006), and a PhD in Physics Education (2012).

His research focuses on designing and evaluating innovative Teaching Learning Sequences for formal and informal education settings, emphasizing inquiry-based approaches like the Control of Variables Strategy and modeling. He develops constructivist frameworks to enhance student learning through scientific inquiry.

Dr. Zoupidis has authored publications in international journals and conference proceedings, participated in European research projects, and completed postdoctoral research on explicit instruction strategies for preschool educators. He contributes as a reviewer for academic conferences including ESERA.
