Anabela Serrano

Dr. Anabela Serrano is a Senior Lecturer in Information Systems at the School of Accounting and Administration of Porto (ISCAP), Polytechnic Institute of Porto. She holds a PhD from the University of Porto and maintains dual research affiliations: as a full member at CITCEM (University of Porto) and associate researcher at CEOS.PP (Polytechnic Institute of Porto). Her academic roles include course coordination and dissertation supervision.

Her research spans:

• Digital literacy in academia
• Information retrieval systems
• Digital library/archive evaluation
• Knowledge organization frameworks
• Eye tracking-based usability studies
• Sociotechnical impacts of AI

She received the FCT PhD Fellowship and has contributed peer-reviewed publications to major indexing services including Scopus and ACM Digital Library. She actively supervises graduate dissertations at ISCAP.
