Ana Costa Lopes is a researcher at the Research Centre on Peoples and Cultures (CEPCEP) and the Research Centre for Communication and Culture (CECC). She serves as an invited Assistant Professor at the Catholic University of Portugal and has previously taught at the University of Lisbon and the University of Macao.

Her research focuses on gender studies, traditional literature, and Eastern studies, with a particular emphasis on women's roles in Portuguese periodicals (1820-1890) and associativism (1914-1974). Recent publications include books on Elisa Curado and women's associations in Portugal.
Ana has participated in international research projects funded by foreign institutions and presented at conferences in China, Macao, Brazil, Mozambique, the UK, India, Germany, and France. Her work aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goal of Quality Education.
