Ana Cortés Lagos is an Assistant Professor at Stony Brook University's Program in Writing & Rhetoric. Her research focuses on transnational writing studies, rhetoric of science, and health sciences communication, particularly analyzing global clinical vaccine research practices in Chile. She holds a PhD in Composition and Cultural Rhetoric from Syracuse University and a BA in Literature and Linguistics from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
Her scholarly work includes publications such as Mirroring Lautaro's Gesture: Toward a Canon in Latin American Writing Studies (College English) and a co-authored paper on writing education in elementary teacher training programs. She currently co-edits the Latin American section of the WAC Clearinghouse International Exchange book series and edits English texts for RLEE Revista Latinoamericana de Estudios de la Escritura.
