Ana Angelova Volponi is a Professor (Reader) in Regenerative Dentistry at King's College London, affiliated with the Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences and the Centre for Craniofacial & Regenerative Biology. She leads the MSc in Regenerative Dentistry program and is the academic lead for the Biomedicine in Relation to Dentistry II module in the BDS program. Her roles include Assessment Lead for the first-year undergraduate dental program and Postgraduate Research Wellbeing Lead.

Publications span peer-reviewed journals like ACS Macro Letters, Nature Communications, and Cells, with over 140 articles and reviews. Projects include collaborations on porous silicon nanowires for periodontal regeneration and hydrogel-based tooth organoids.
