Amy R. Sapkota is an MPower Professor and Chair of the Department of Global, Environmental, and Occupational Health at the University of Maryland School of Public Health. She earned a B.S. from University of Maryland College Park, M.P.H. from Yale School of Public Health, and Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Her research examines microbial water quality and develops water reuse solutions to advance climate resilience while protecting public health. She directs the CONSERVE Center of Excellence, the UMD Global STEWARDS NSF Research Traineeship, and the Global FEWture Alliance.
