Dr. Amy Proskovec is Assistant Professor of Radiology and the Advanced Imaging Research Center at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She holds a B.S. in Psychology from University of Nebraska-Lincoln and M.A./Ph.D. in Psychology (Neuroscience concentration) from University of Nebraska-Omaha.
Research uses magnetoencephalography (MEG) and fMRI to study neurocognitive aging, with focus on how aging affects working memory, attention networks, and sensory processing. Current projects investigate blood pressure's impact on cognitive decline and pain processing in older adults.
Previously served as postdoctoral researcher at UT Southwestern's MEG Center of Excellence. Peer reviews for Cerebral Cortex, NeuroImage, and Journal of Neuroscience. Professional affiliations include Cognitive Neuroscience Society and Organization for Human Brain Mapping.
