Amy Hermanson

Amy Hermanson is an Associate Professor of English at Wisconsin Lutheran College specializing in early modern British literature and rhetorical theory. She holds a Ph.D. from Texas Christian University, an M.A. from Marquette University, and an A.A. from Bethany Lutheran College. Her research focuses on the rhetorical cannon of memory in early modern religious culture and intersects with history of reading, drama, and religion.

Hermanson teaches courses including Writing and Rhetoric, American Literature, British Literature, Shakespeare, and Rhetorical Criticism. She has published scholarly works on John Foxe, John Milton, and Mary Sidney, and has presented at conferences including the Rhetoric Society of America and Midwest Conference on Christianity and Culture.
