Amy E. Underhill Abruzzi

Amy E. Underhill Abruzzi is a Full Professor of Teaching and CEPH Accreditation Coordinator at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy’s Public Health Program at Rutgers University. She serves as a Lead Instructor in Epidemiology and specializes in online/hybrid course development for distance learners. Her roles include teaching, accreditation coordination, and academic leadership.

She also studies the historical and philosophical foundations of epidemiology and medicine.

Her professional experience includes roles as a librarian at New York University and Lafayette College before transitioning to full-time academia at Bloustein. She emphasizes innovative teaching methods and addressing global health inequities through interdisciplinary approaches.
