Amy Borja

Amy Borja, PhD, holds the position of Affiliate Assistant Professor of Spanish in the Modern Languages department at the University of Dallas. She has over 25 years of teaching experience at secondary and university levels. Dr. Borja’s research focuses on Spanish Peninsular Medieval and Early Modern Literature, Colonial Narrative, and Latin American Neo-Baroque Literature. She rejoined the University of Dallas to continue mentoring students and fostering their appreciation for Spanish language and literature.

Education: PhD in Spanish from the University of Texas at Austin.

Professional Experience: Extensive teaching career spanning secondary and higher education institutions. Office hours are MWF 12:00–1:00 p.m. or by appointment.

Research Interests: Specializes in medieval and colonial literary traditions, with a focus on narrative forms and cultural intersections in Spain and Latin America. Her work bridges historical analysis and contemporary literary discourse.
