Amy Boitnott

Amy Boitnott is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at the University of Virginia School of Nursing, where she serves as Pediatric Primary Care Specialty Lead. She holds a DNP from UVA, MSN from Virginia Commonwealth University, and BSN from James Madison University.

Her clinical and research work centers on:

• Childhood obesity interventions
• Family-centered health approaches
• Interprofessional healthcare education
• Pediatric primary care models

As a nurse practitioner in UVA's Children's Fitness Clinic, she treats children with obesity-related conditions while preforming as a provider-educator for students across multiple disciplines including nursing, medicine, nutrition, and exercise physiology. She collaborates with UVA's Curry School of Education through their Youth-Nex research center.
