Amy B. Bridges is a Professor of Political Science at the University of California, San Diego. Her research focuses on urban politics, political history, and constitutional development, with a particular emphasis on the Western United States. She has authored seminal works such as A City in the Republic (1984) and Morning Glories (1997), the latter of which won two major awards. Currently, she is working on a book analyzing the founding constitutions of Western states, titled Western Window.
