About
Amol Aggarwal is a Research Fellow at Columbia University, specializing in probability theory, combinatorics, and their connections to mathematical physics, integrable systems, and dynamical systems. He earned his PhD in 2020 from Harvard University under the guidance of Alexei Borodin.
His groundbreaking work includes resolving longstanding conjectures on local statistics for lozenge tilings, phase transitions in the six-vertex model, and asymptotic distributions in the asymmetric simple exclusion process. He also proved the Eskin-Zorich conjecture on Masur-Veech volumes and Siegel-Veech constants in moduli spaces of Abelian differentials.
