Amina Robinson

Amina Robinson is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Theater at Temple University's School of Theater, Film and Media Arts. She holds a Master of Fine Arts from Temple University and combines academic roles with a distinguished career in performance and advocacy.

Her professional achievements include Broadway performances in Mamma Mia and Godspell, national tours, and film roles such as Jermaine in the Oscar-winning Precious. She has appeared in TV series like Law & Order, Smash, and Nurse Jackie. Her theater credits span institutions like the Williamstown Theater Festival and Baltimore CenterStage.

Robinson is dedicated to community engagement, founding the 426 Project to support women and children. She has taught at venues including the Walnut Street Theater and Harlem School of the Arts. Her research interests intersect performance art with social impact, emphasizing education and equity in the arts.
