Ami Bouterse

Ami Bouterse is Professor of Music at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, serving as Voice Area Coordinator and Contemporary Commercial Music Voice Program Coordinator. With over two decades of teaching experience, she specializes in classical and contemporary vocal performance, vocal health, and directs the contemporary a capella ensemble Parkside Range.

Performance highlights include:

• Premieres with composers Jorge Muñiz, Ayesu Lartey, and Rubén Prieto
• Performances with Skylight Opera Theatre, Ash Lawn Opera Festival, and New York Japanese Society

Her awards include honors from the Gerda Lissner Foundation, Metropolitan Opera, and National Association of Teachers of Singing.
