Amanda Copeland serves as the Associate Dean of Students and Director of New Student Engagement and Transition Programs at Marietta College. She also acts as a Deputy Title IX Coordinator, focusing on student complaints and fostering a campus free from gender-based violence and discrimination. Since joining Marietta College in 2010, she has overseen initiatives related to student onboarding, community engagement, and compliance with federal mandates. Her professional background includes roles in student conduct, substance abuse education, and internships with the National Collaborative for Hazing Research and Prevention while at the University of Maine.
Dr. Copeland holds an ABD in Organizational Leadership in Higher Education from Franklin University, a Master of Education in Student Development in Higher Education from the University of Maine, and a Bachelor of Science in Child Development and Family Relations from the University of Maine.
She teaches leadership courses including LEAD 101, LEAD 203, and LEAD 301 through the McDonough Leadership Center. Her work emphasizes creating inclusive environments and addressing systemic issues in student welfare.
