Amanda Awadey is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Mount Holyoke College. She is affiliated with the Department of Economics, The Committee on the Health Professions, and the Department of International Relations.
Her research focuses on human capital development and entrepreneurship in sub-Saharan Africa, particularly examining factors affecting student performance, higher education choices, and firm growth constraints. She employs applied microeconomics methods and randomized control trials (RCTs) to analyze large administrative datasets and evaluate education reforms.
