Alon Altman

Dr. Alon Altman is a Professor at the Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba, specializing in Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences. He is affiliated with CancerCare Manitoba and leads initiatives in gynecologic oncology and perioperative care.

His research focuses on improving cancer treatment outcomes through evidence-based practices, particularly in hormonal therapy, ovarian cancer, vulvar cancer, and Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols. He contributes to global ERAS guidelines and investigates hormone-malignancy interactions in gynecologic cancers.

Dr. Altman holds leadership roles, including past-president of the Society of Gynecologic Oncology of Canada and treasurer of Doctors Manitoba. He actively participates in medical education and clinical trial management at CancerCare Manitoba.
