Alok K. Verma is the Powell Chair Professor and Head of the Department of Marine Engineering Technology at Texas A&M University. His research focuses on lean manufacturing, engineering education, and STEM outreach. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Old Dominion University and a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from IIT Kanpur.
Verma has secured over $2.5M in grants for projects like MarineTech (NSF) and developed lean enterprise simulations for shipbuilding.
