Allison F. Bean is an Associate Professor in the Department of Speech and Hearing Science at The Ohio State University’s College of Arts and Sciences. She holds a B.A. from Iona College, an M.S. from New York Medical College, and a Ph.D. from the University of Iowa. Her research focuses on language development in nonspeaking individuals with autism spectrum disorders and outcomes in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
