Allen White serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Indiana University Bloomington while concurrently holding the position of Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Chemistry at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University under the supervision of Igor Adamovich and J. William Rich at the Non-Equilibrium Thermodynamics Laboratories.
Dr. White's research specializes in atmospheric pressure mass-spectrometry sources and time-resolved infrared spectrometry for probing inter-molecular energy migration, with sustained collaboration since 2013 with the Hieftje Laboratory for Spectrochemistry and current work alongside the Thielges Group. His technical expertise spans Mass Spectrometry, Infrared Spectroscopy, Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Plasma Chemistry, Spectrochemistry, and Molecular Energy Transfer.
