Allen Bailey is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at the University of Maine at Farmington (UMF), where he has served since 2000. He chairs the Faculty Development Committee and focuses on enhancing communication between math and science educators and improving high school-to-college math transitions.

His research interests include the history of mathematics and teacher preparation. He has collaborated on grants to strengthen math-science teacher collaboration and student readiness for college-level mathematics.
Outside academia, he enjoys reading, hiking, tree planting, and supporting the Arkansas Razorbacks.
