Allan Taylor

Allan Taylor is an Adjunct Professor of Music Theory at Westfield State University since 2006, where he teaches courses in conducting, orchestration, sight singing and ear training, music history, pipe organ, and piano. He also directed the Festival Chorus and the Chorale for three years.

• Education: B.A. from Trinity College and M.A. from Smith College.

Mr. Taylor is an active performing musician and Minister of Music at the First Congregational Church in Westfield since 1987. He serves as music director for the Hampshire Choral Society, a community chorus of approximately 120 singers performing major choral works with full orchestra, and has held similar roles with Novi Cantori and the Greater Westfield Choral Association.
