Alison Tanner

Alison Tanner is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Film within Middlesex University's Faculty of Arts and Creative Industries, where she serves as Programme Leader for the BA Photography course. Her teaching spans practical analogue production skills for first-year students and advanced portfolio development for final-year undergraduates, alongside foundational teaching for the Arts and Creative Industries program.

With professional experience dating back to 2000, she has specialized in fashion and editorial photography, notably working as Tim Walker's first assistant for five years. This involved coordinating major exhibitions like his 'Pictures' retrospective at London's Design Museum. Her research interests focus on photographic practice within cultural and historical contexts.
