Alison Hawanchak

Dr. Alison Hawanchak is an Assistant Professor in Theology and Ministry at Southwestern Seminary's School of Theology and Ministry since 2022. She holds a B.S. from University of New England (2010), M.Div from Asbury Theological Seminary (2015), and Ph.D. from Asbury Theological Seminary (2021).

Her professional experience includes:

• 3 years in Youth Ministry at Centenary United Methodist Church (Lexington, KY)
• 3.5 years as Adjunct Professor of Hebrew at Asbury Theological Seminary

Research interests focus on biblical languages and their pedagogical application in ministry contexts. She integrates practical theology with ancient scriptural studies.

Personal interests include coffee culture, fiction reading, crochet, swimming, and jogging.
