Alina Waite

Dr. Alina Waite is a Professor in the Department of Management Information Systems and Business Education at Scott College of Business, Indiana State University. Previously, she served as a Professor in the College of Technology (COT) until August 1, 2023, and held interim leadership roles as Acting/Interim Chair for both departments in 2023.

Her research focuses on Human Resource Development, Leadership Competencies, and Organizational Performance, with recent work addressing the impact of Generative AI on leadership development. She has been an active member of the Academy of Human Resource Development since 2005 and served as Associate Editor of the Advances in Developing Human Resources journal.

Dr. Waite’s teaching portfolio includes courses in leadership, technological innovation, strategic HRD, and research methods for undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students. Prior to her academic career, she held leadership roles in international R&D for medical devices, overseeing product pipelines and operations.
