Alina Seger

Alina Seger is a Research Fellow at the Chair of Primary School Education and Didactics within the Faculty of Human Sciences at Otto-Friedrich University Bamberg. Her academic journey includes completing her State Examination in Primary School Teaching (2013-2017) followed by trainee teaching experience where she obtained her 2nd State Examination (2018-2020).

Her research focuses on innovative pedagogical approaches including classroom management strategies, addressing learning difficulties, integrating digital media in primary education, and developing sustainable science curricula. She specializes in video-based teacher training methodologies and mentoring systems for practical skill development.

Publications demonstrate a consistent focus on virtual classroom analysis and teacher training effectiveness, with research exploring how different technological conditions impact pedagogical skill development. Recent work emphasizes quasi-experimental approaches to optimize video analysis in teacher education.

She actively develops practical training concepts such as the NaSu project (Sustainability in Primary School Science) and coordinates seminars on lesson planning and classroom management. As a workshop leader, she has conducted professional development sessions for educators on topics like Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and interactive video design.

Dr. Seger collaborates on multiple research initiatives including ViUVi (Virtual Classroom Video Analyses) and STeP advanced (Student Tutoring Program), and maintains memberships in the German Society for Educational Science and Society for Empirical Educational Research.
