Alina Mocanu is a Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at the University of Sunderland, joining in February 2021. Previously, she served as Programme Leader for the FdA Business Management (Levels 4-5) at Newcastle College University Centre (2018–2021). She holds a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance, an MA in Strategic Management, and a PGCE in Business Education, all from the University of Sunderland. Her teaching responsibilities include modules on Corporate Financial Management (postgraduate), Audit and Assurance, Business Taxation, Management Accounting for Business, and Economics at the undergraduate level. Research interests focus on financial accounting standards, corporate governance, blockchain applications, and taxation.
