Alicia Durán is a Research Professor at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), leading the GlaSS research group at the Department of Glass within the Institute of Ceramics and Glass. She has dedicated her career to advancing glass science and technology, with a focus on energy, environment, and industrial applications. Her roles include Secretary of the Glass Section of the Spanish Ceramic and Glass Society (over 25 years), and President of the International Commission on Glass (ICG) since 2018.
