Alice Wanner

Dr. Alice Wanner is a Post-Doc researcher at the Institute of Landscape Development, Recreation and Conservation Planning at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU). Her work bridges landscape planning, sustainable tourism, and climate change adaptation, with a strong focus on participatory governance and nature-based solutions in both urban and rural contexts.

Her research interests include sustainable tourism development, regional planning, stakeholder involvement, climate resilience, and urban green infrastructure. She employs methods such as choice experiments and policy analysis to assess public acceptance and design effective interventions for sustainable development.

Her recent publications reflect a strong trend toward interdisciplinary research on climate adaptation in European cities, with recurring themes in nature-based solutions, tourism behavior under climate stress, and policy evaluation. She frequently collaborates with Prof. Ulrike Pröbstl-Haider and other international researchers.
