Alice P. Reeves was an instructor in English at Skidmore College, where she contributed to educational and civic initiatives until her death in 1960. Beyond teaching, she actively participated in community service as President of the Board of Education, board member of the Senior Citizens Center and Hawley Home, and member of the Children’s Committee of the State Charities Aid. The Saratogian newspaper recognized her as 'one of the outstanding educational and civic leaders of the community.'
