Alfredo Thiermann is an Assistant Professor of History and Theory of Architecture at EPFL's School of Architecture, Civil and Environmental Engineering (ENAC), within the Institut d'Architecture (IA). His research explores intersections between architecture, media, and technology, spanning sound installations, film scenography, and urban infrastructure. He holds a professional degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, a Master's from Princeton University, and a Ph.D. from ETH Zurich.
