Alexis Roig

Alexis Roig serves as Associate Professor at Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) while holding multiple research positions including Associate Research Fellow at the United Nations University (UNU-CRIS), Associate Researcher at Barcelona Centre for International Affairs (CIDOB), and Associate Professor at Barcelona Institute for International Studies (IBEI). He concurrently leads SciTech DiploHub as CEO and represents Barcelona as its Chief Science and Tech Envoy, leveraging 15+ years of advisory experience for governments across Asia, Europe, and the Americas on Science Diplomacy and City Diplomacy.

His research centers on science-technology-foreign affairs intersections with expertise in migration governance, international relations, and urban policy. Key focus areas include transnational migration networks, planetary health frameworks, evidence-based urban governance, and ecosystem-driven internationalization strategies.
