Alexis Christensen

ALEXIS CHRISTENSEN is an Associate Professor (Lecturer) at the University of Utah, affiliated with the World Languages and Cultures department. With expertise in Classical Archaeology and Ancient History, her research focuses on Etruscan and Roman settlements in the Sangro Valley of Abruzzo, Italy, and the analysis of Hellenistic floor mosaics. She has taught courses in Classical Latin, Ancient Greek, Classical Mythology, and Archaeology fieldwork.

• Degrees: PhD in Classics (Florida State University), MA in Classical Archaeology and Latin (Florida State University), BA in Classical Archaeology (University of Evansville).
• Grants: 2024 Career-Line Faculty Fellowship in the Humanities (Tanner Humanities Center), 2023-2024 Presidential Leadership Fellowship (University of Utah/The Mellon Foundation).
• Community Engagement: Presenter on Aeschylus' Eumenides for the Paedeia Group (2024), Board member of the Utah Classical Association (2015-2016).
