Dr. Alexandra Perry serves as the Dean of the McDonough Center for Leadership and Business and holds the rank of Associate Professor of Leadership and Ethics at Marietta College. She joined the institution in 2019 and is actively involved in academic leadership, healthcare ethics, and public health policy. Her roles include advising the Student Government Association (SGA) and serving on boards for the Bioethics Network of Ohio and the Ely Chapman Educational Foundation.
Dr. Perry’s academic background includes a Doctor of Public Health (2023, UNC), an Ed.D. in Philosophy and Pedagogy (2012, Montclair State), and advanced degrees in Bioethics and Education. Her research focuses on ethical leadership in healthcare systems, particularly addressing disparities in rural, indigenous, and underserved populations. She also explores neonatal/pediatric ethics, addiction medicine, and the opioid crisis’s ethical implications.
Her publications include Ethical Leadership: A Primer (co-edited) and an upcoming book on end-of-life care ethics. She has received notable awards for her research and teaching, including the 2023 Outstanding Faculty Award.
