Alexandra Metse

Dr. Alexandra Metse is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at the University of the Sunshine Coast's School of Health. She holds a PhD and BPsych (Hons) from the University of Newcastle. Her research focuses on sleep health, health risk behaviors, and public health interventions. She has led projects funded by organizations like the Mitchell Institute, Sleep Health Foundation, and the Australian Prevention Partnership Centre, emphasizing sleep's role in chronic disease prevention and healthcare policy.

Dr. Metse's education includes a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) and PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Newcastle. She is a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy and actively contributes to academic governance through editorial roles at the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Public Health.

Her research interests span sleep disorders, health disparities, and the application of novel technologies in mental and physical health interventions.
