Alexandra Chang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Arts, Culture and Media at Rutgers University-Newark. She also serves as the Interim Associate Director of the Clement A. Price Institute on Ethnicity, Culture, and the Modern Experience and the Associate Director of the American Studies Program. Additionally, she is a member of the Executive Committee of the Institute on Research on Women.

She also directs the Virtual Asian American Art Museum (VAAAM) and collaborates on improvisational music projects such as the Rock City Falls Trio.
