Alexander Gilman is a distinguished violinist and educator currently serving as Visiting Professor at the Royal College of Music since 2020 and Lecturer at the Kalaidos Music Academy since 2014. He also holds the position of Artistic Director for the LGT Young Soloists since 2013.
His educational background includes a Master of Arts in Specialized Music Performance with specialization as a soloist from the Zurich University of the Arts (2011) and graduation with distinction in violin from the Cologne University of Music (2009).
Professor Gilman's research interests center around violin performance techniques, interpretation of classical and romantic repertoire, chamber music collaboration, and music education methodologies. His work particularly emphasizes the development of young musicians through mentorship and performance opportunities as evidenced by his leadership of the LGT Young Soloists ensemble.
