Emily Sun

Emily Sun is a violin professor at the Royal College of Music in London, where she teaches within the Strings faculty. An internationally renowned violinist described by The Australian as possessing "a superb talent" and The Guardian noting her "searing and poetic tone," she maintains an active career as concerto soloist, chamber musician, and pedagogue.

Her educational background includes BMus, MPerf, and ArtDip from the Royal College of Music, plus Art Dip from Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth. She studied with Dr. Robin Wilson, Itzhak Rashkovsky, and Augustin Dumay, with additional mentoring from Pinchas Zukerman, Maxim Vengerov, and Ivry Gitlis.

Professor Sun's performance interests span classical repertoire with particular expertise in violin concertos, chamber music, and film score interpretations. Her artistic approach emphasizes powerful sound and compelling interpretations across traditional and modern compositions, connecting deeply with diverse audiences through both live performances and recordings.
