Alexander Crowe

Alexander Crowe is a Visiting Professor in the Opera Faculty at the Royal Academy of Music and remains a visiting répétiteur at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM). He previously served as Senior Tutor and Head of Opera Music Staff at RNCM from 1981 to 2010, where he was also appointed as Honorary Fellow in 2001. His research focuses on musicology, opera, baroque music, and vocal coaching, with notable work on the early unpublished works of Sibelius.

Research Interests: Crowe's work spans musicology, opera, baroque music, vocal coaching, and Scandinavian music studies, particularly centered on Jean Sibelius's early compositions. His career includes directing the Easter Baroque Courses since 1998 and freelancing as a coach, accompanist, and organist.
