Alex Sceberras Trigona is a prominent diplomat and academic, currently serving as Permanent Representative of Malta to the World Trade Organization (WTO). He is a Founder Member of DiploFoundation and has been organizing international negotiation courses since 1991. Previously, he served as Malta’s Minister of Foreign Affairs (1981–1987), negotiating key agreements and securing Malta’s first UN Security Council seat in 1983/1984. His academic contributions include a law Doctorate on constitutional change in Malta and lectures on Diplomacy and Private International Law at the University of Malta’s Law Faculty.
Education: Rhodes Scholar (Malta), MA in Politics, Economics, and Philosophy from Oriel College, Oxford University. His research focuses on diplomacy, international negotiations, cyber diplomacy, and constitutional law.
