Alex Edmans is Professor of Finance at London Business School, Fellow of the British Academy, and Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences. His research examines corporate finance, responsible business practices, executive compensation, and the intersection of profit and purpose in organizational strategy.
Dr. Edmans developed the 'Pie-Growing' theory that demonstrates how companies can simultaneously create value for shareholders and stakeholders through purpose-driven strategies. His work analyzes how executive compensation structures influence long-term investment decisions, how employee satisfaction affects firm valuation, and how sustainable investing principles can be implemented without sacrificing financial returns.
