Alex Alblas

Alex Alblas is an Associate Professor in the Innovation, Technology Entrepreneurship & Marketing (ITEM) group at Eindhoven University of Technology’s School of Industrial Engineering. His research focuses on accelerating innovation through organizational learning and optimizing cross-departmental knowledge flows to enhance product/production performance. He leads projects like “Managing Knowledge Flows” (focusing on improving knowledge utilization) and “Transitioning to a Circular Business Ecosystem” (supporting circular economy transitions).

• Education: PhD in Innovation Management (University of Groningen), MSc Industrial Engineering, BSc Technology Management (both from Groningen).
• Industry Experience: Process Improvement Specialist at ASML, researcher in the DoSyM project addressing sustainability metrics in product development.

His research interests emphasize operational innovation, agile development, and sustainability. Recent work explores stakeholder engagement in circular economies, knowledge transfer in high-tech sectors, and collaborative innovation in military contexts.
