Dr. Alem Hailu is an Associate Professor in the Department of African Studies at Howard University's College of Arts & Sciences. His work bridges academia, government, and civil society through collaborative initiatives addressing development, public policy, and human security in Africa and the Global South. He organizes international conferences on topics like China-Africa relations, socio-political changes in Africa, and the impact of technology on cross-border flows.
