Aleksandar Dundjerovic is a Professor in Performing Arts at Birmingham City University's Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. He is an internationally award-winning theatre director with 26 years of global experience, directing in Britain, Serbia, Romania, Iran, Colombia, Japan, Brazil, and Canada. His research focuses on multimedia performance, interdisciplinary theatricality, and collaborative creative processes, particularly influenced by Robert Lepage's work.
Education includes a Professional Theatre Director qualification from the College of Dramatic Arts, University of Arts (Belgrade, Serbia, 1989), an MA in Drama from the University of Oklahoma (1991), and a PhD from Royal Holloway College, University of London (1999). His academic leadership roles include founding the Centre for Interdisciplinary Performance Practices and heading the Department of Drama and Theatre Studies at University College Cork (UCC).
