Alan Oliver

Alan Oliver serves as Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader for the BA Graphic Design programme at the University of Salford's School of Arts, Media and Creative Technologies, where he combines professional design practice with academic leadership.

He completed both his Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Graphic Design at the University of Salford, establishing deep institutional roots.

His research examines critical intersections of Graphic Design, typography, and branding within contemporary practice, with particular focus on how creative process evolves through motion design and digital visual communication technologies.

Instructionally, he designs industry-aligned curriculum across Levels 5-6 including modules on technology integration, career development, and professional identity formation, emphasizing real-world industry exposure and self-directed creative practice.
