Afsoon Soudi

Afsoon Soudi is Assistant Professor in Media Production at Toronto Metropolitan University and Associate Director of the Creative AI hub. She holds a PhD in Physics from Washington State University and brings industry experience from leadership roles at technology companies including Apple and Napster.

Her research integrates Responsible AI, climate change, and media analytics, with emphasis on ethical machine learning and computational social sciences. She holds multiple patents in display technologies and adaptive systems.

Soudi promotes equity through inclusive curriculum design and mentorship. She teaches courses on media audiences, AI, and entrepreneurship.
