Dr. Adrija Dey is a UKRI Future Leader Senior Research Fellow at the University of Westminster, holding dual affiliations in the School of Social Science and School of Media and Communication. Her research focuses on decolonizing responses to sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in higher education, integrating feminist theory with digital activism and intersectional analysis. Previously, she held a British Academy post-doctoral fellowship at SOAS, University of London, studying SGBV in Indian universities. Her work bridges gender studies, media studies, and development studies, with a decolonial Marxist lens.
Key research themes include feminist social movements, student activism, digital media’s role in protest, and institutional accountability.
